This is the fifth year we are hosting the Mercer County Firehouse Chili Challenge at WWVFC#1. Overall its the seventh year for a WWVFC#1 Chili Cookoff.

The 2019 People’s Choice winner was Station 44, Princeton Junction Fire Company #1, chefs Deputy Chief Tony Mangone with Asst. Chief Brian Doel.
The 2019 Guest Judge's winner was Station 43, West Windsor Volunteer Fire Company #1, chefs Firefighter Ram Sarma and Fire Police Officer Priya Venkataraman.

But the real winners were everyone that showed up and tasted a variety of incredible firehouse chili, prepared and served by our finest firefighters of Mercer County!

This is a great way to celebrate the end to a chilly winter with a Chili Day! Prior to the County Chili Challenge we hosted a smaller in-town Chili Cook-Off where our supreme champion Chili Chef and Firefighter Joe Burns (WWVFC) prevailed for two consecutive years. We are looking forward to another fun day of Chili tasting and friendly competition and camaraderie with our Mercer and Middlesex County Fire Companies.

If you are a Fire Company in Mercer or Middlesex County or provide Mutual Aid to WWVFC#1, and would like to participate then please email us at webmaster. Fill out the form below and email/mail it back to us! Challenge Competitor Form
